Kitty Christina

  • Ms. Kitty Christina,

    ‘Miracles happen to those who believe in them’.  And it did so to me too.

    My miracle is a dream come true as this journey has taught me the best of life here at Lakshmi Garden.

    When I had started my career at Lakshmi Garden, I was in a state of confusion as to how I was to cope up with just a two year old school.  I shifted my challenge to a God-given opportunity and here I am having worked 6 yers of my life at Lakshmi Garden.  True to its motto “Learning for Life”, I did start my learning here at Lakshmi Garden.  Put in front of me were priorities, challenges, opportunities, various tasks and many more.  I wondered how I was to manage everything by myself-a new me – in a new atmosphere.  But a miracle did happen and so did my dream come true.  I remembered as a child how naughty I was in my English class and how my teacher cursed me that I too would become an English teacher with naughty kids.  So there I was as an English teacher with a naughty lot to deal with.  And, voila! My miracle did happen.

    All I had to do was be myself and my kids loved me for that.  We began working together as a team and they kept me going.  I played many roles as a teacher and they too played along.  Together we did do many miracles.  This also reflected well in their grades.

    I have always loved and adored this way of living, here at Lakshmi Garden as it really makes me feel a HOME AWAY FROM HOME, with a totally different family.  Although there are differences of opinion, we still stay strong together. I treasure all the special birthdays in the staffroom and the craving of different food during lunch. Work and fun went hand in hand when cultural programmes were in progress.

    Investiture ceremony was an auspicious start of crowning the leaders of houses : Sunflower, Daisy, Lotus, Rose where I was the proud mother of the Sunflower Team, with its motto “ARISE AND SHINE”, we have shone, are shining and will always shine with our heads held high.

    I still remember our first skit and all the others that followed them.  From then on, every Vaibhav was an opportunity with a challenge. From the beginning to the end it was a huge success not forgetting all the support we were given by the management.

    Lakshmi Garden will always have moments to treasure, which when thought of, brings a spark to the soul and a smile to the face.

    A home is one’s first school.

    A school is one’s second home.

    Lakshmi Garden has been a home;

    A place of togetherness;

    A place of learning.

    We will always be one community, one family, one school!
